I find it odd that, in a country that's seen pretty widespread protest and anger at cuts and employment, they've gone and elected a pro-austerity Conservative government

Considering their Debts and young out of work
its is a good plan
thats why the public voted him in.

Learn the difference between "there" and "their". Then, take an economics course. Lastly, their big goal is social issues, which is why they're moving to ban gays from getting married.
