Yeah, the way I look at it people who are "real and honest" don't have to keep trying to convince people of it

Saying you're 'real and honest' seems to be a quite negative way of complimenting yourself. As if it should be prefixed by 'I'm a bit of a sh!t, but I'm real and honest'. Nobody needs to say 'I'm kind and friendly, but real and honest', do they?
