 but why would they randomly add this in the advert? it had nothing to do with the theme of olympics?

The advert was mocking the olympics. A hot tub is associated with BB. It's not hard to see why it was included in the advert.

Because when adding something BB related they used the worst aspect of the show that channel 5 seem to be using as the focal point: Shallow dullards getting it on.

The advert wasn't just about the Olympics. f/
There were many BB references in it. The Electric Shock Suit - BB9 The 'I'm Walking!' - Pretty much every series Shopping List Arguments - Every series Hot Tub Flirtation - BB6
