Why do some pictures when you post them on TiBB become the size of Jupiter when the link you got it from were much smaller?

I feel so embarrassed when that happens, especially when I try to edit the post after I noticed the size of the picture but my pc goes all slow and I get petrified because people have already seen it and probably complained about it too.

The answer just came to me..your browser always scales the picture down so it fits in the screen..

When you click the pic on google images it shows you a scaled down version thats why its sometimes huge when you paste them over to the forum.
