 Even greater and more prestigious then BBC Sports Personality of the year some might say Wouldn't really do this any other year but since the Sports section of the forum has been the most active since i joined the forum and on top of that it's been one of the greatest years for Sport in a long time and people might actually vote i might as well give it a go Round 1 Simply Nominate Up to 10 British Personalities and up to 10 Non British Personalities as well in this thread, as soon as i get a list of around 40-50 people for each Category and a good amount of votes Round 2 will begin

British it should be Mcilroy by a landslide what he is doing at the moment in golf is unmatched by any other British performer in any sport
Non-British has to be given by the Caveman. Won Andy he's gold medal which in turn gave him the confidence to win the US Open. Also a Bronze Medallist himself

yes hitting a ball down a field with a club is really up there with the physical exertion and competitive dominance displayed by Tour de France cyclists, heptathletes and long-distance runners

Facepalm have you ever tried to play golf it is technically harder then pretty much every sport you wil compete in. In all the events you mentioned there is only a handful of people that are actually world class while it the Golf circuit due to the weather , varying layout's for courses from day to day and the fact that there is at least 25-30 people good enough to win in any given day. Which makes Mcilroy's achievments even greater

Haha I do sorta agree with LK, I've played golf for years and had lessons and I'm still hopeless at it, incredibly hard sport to master

I have heard it all now Cycling is a harder sport to master then Golf PMSL
BRB Oh my god i have to change my gears not only going up a hill but down a hill aswell how will i cope with such situation BRB Have teamates that will do all the hard work for me while i take the glory at the end

Oh no!!! The wind is blowing ever so slightly i need to adjust my extremely heavy club and aim to the left more! oh wait i don't even have to carry my clubs or anything because i have someone to do that for me after all it's a bit to much effort carrying a bag of clubs after hitting a golf ball down a field

Golf is more of a mental sport and really shouldn't be compared the same way as cycling or running
Golf is harder to master over all though

Me and Shaun are TIBB's most knowledgeable Sports posters on the forum you would do well to listen to us, give me a year or so i could master Golf.. and finish in a decent position in a pretty well known Golf Tournament.. let's face it it's more of a hobby then a sport, even wrestlers work harder then Golfers

So it takes you a solid year to master golf and takes maybe 2 weeks MAX to learn to ride a bike yet Cycling is the harder sport to master??
