I think he was just emotional thinking about how the public's perception of him may be all boos when he leaves the house. he dealt well with the hate he received on x factor however.

I think Frankie told him that at times he was coming across as fake and to be himself. I have seen snippets of X factor Rylan recently so I may learn to love him again.
