..I think that most comedians get annoying fast though because they're just so samey and it's only the same stuff but delivered by a different person...

Indeed, Ammi.

Tim Minchin was always a musician first. Anyone who knows anything about music, will understand that Tim is good at what he does - he's written music/songs for Broadway shows and films. So there's poncing around trying to look like a rock star, as other comedians may do, but Tim has musical talent to back it up.

Some of his songs are actually pretty beautiful, as well as comedic.
