Sad story. Even more sad is the condemnation of the parents for letting him out to play on some of the news sites. I am sure it is something they will regret for the rest of their lives but right now they have lost their son

1 of the many reasons i don't believe in any religion... children dying.
I've never heard any satisfactory answer from religious types as to why God wills children to die before they even have a fighting chance at a real life. What kind of all-knowing, all-powerful God would ignore the plight of an innocent child? not my God.

It was an accident, lads have always been attracted to building sites, my lad was brought home once by police for climbing scaffolding near our home on his way home from school, I dread to think what could've happened.

Why on earth was he forty minutes away from his home? I mean... maybe he was at a friend's house and that was their local park... but I doubt it... this sounds like parents who weren't properly looking after their kid - my parents would never have let me play in a park 40 minutes away at 8pm on a Sunday if they weren't there?! Wtf? I hope there's nothing more sinister behind the boy's death but even if there is, I still want to know what the hell they were thinking allowing that?!

latest news is that he slipped into a plastic pipe poor kid http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews...ite/ar-AAdxEyh
I have to say though 7 years old is very young to be out unsupervised imo.

The damning of the parents here is a bit harsh. Recalling my childhood at that age we would often be be allowed to play together as a group and more often than not we would sneak off further a field whilst our parents thought we were just over the road at a friends house. Kids have a habit of finding ways to sneak off even if supervised which I'll be surprised if no parent has had that happen. I'm sure the parents are in enough turmoil without everyone making them feel worse.
