Look at CBB 16 ratings-1.9 vs BB14 ratings- 1.9

The civilian one was on for longer therefore C5 average ratings were higher for 2 months instead of one and no appearance fees were paid. So a good civilian series is a lot more profitable than a short CBB series. Shouldn't this give them a kick up the backside to focus more on civilians series?

It's bound to be more profitable. BB doesn't have to pay ridiculous amounts of money just to get some has beens on the show.

Civillian housemates still get paid, just not as much. I think a lot of people prefer the Celebrity edition though.
