Yes, we have somewhat of a relationship at the moment. A very strained one.

Aint it the truth. We try to have a relationship now but it's one hell of a strange one when you only know your Dad as an adult, if you know what I mean?

Like, with my mum because I've grown up with her around so it's completely different and there is a 'shorthand' between kids and parents that I don't think I'll have with him. Even if he's around for the next 20 years, he's still missed out on that childhood meaning it can't ever be the same really?
