I don't really enjoy seeing my home country being destroyed even if it is for a movie

It really doesn't sit well with me especially since we've had events such as 7/7 and even now a looming terror threat

Am I being stupid for thinking this film is really quite insensitive?

We've seen America destroyed in countless films, even after 9/11. It's just a film, and it's pretty cool that its set in the United Kingdom for a change.

Yeah... Compare the number of Hollywood films featuring Britain being potentially destroyed vs the number with the US being destroyed. It's not like they discriminate, they usually fictionally blow up their own country

Yeah, why would the leader of another country ever be in London? I can't be 100% sure, but as far as I know that's only ever happened once before. When President-Bob Thornton got served by PM Grant after he tried to touch up Tiffany.

I don't think you are stupid to find it insensitive, I remember seeing a gif of big ben being exploded (im assuming from this movie). If it's terrorism-related, then very bad timing. But it is just a movie, thank god.

Yeah it's like saying you can't have a film with murder or guns or death or natural disaster etc etc because it's so relevant. It's always relevant somewhere in the world.
