It's in the Times and various others too.The Mail was the most comprehensive from what i saw.It was conducted by the Ancestry website.

I'm surprised it's not the West Midlands tbh as the black country accent is often noted as being the closest dialect to old english that's still around and in use.

Hehe, when we were all studying Chaucer at school, our teacher got us all to read it in a thick West Country accent, as that's what she thought was closest to Old English. I might have fun now re-reading with Black Country
