My mum watched the first 2 weeks of BB3 as I was on holiday and asked her to video it for me and their VCR only recorded if you watched the channel whilst it recorded (it was old and dodgy lol). She said it was rubbish but then asked every week who had been evicted. The only reality ish tv she watched and loved was Strictly. My dad would never be seen dead watching anything other than the sports channels, although since mum died he has watched, and enjoyed, Strictly in homage to her

For my case, I got brought up around a different BB. Since I'm Filipino, Pinoy Big Brother was and is still such a big thing. Most of the housemates get famous, beyond their 15 minutes of fame. My parents thought it was alright, but they didn't have time to watch it, and they also didn't allow me to watch it as well, even though it was so tame. Anyways tried watching a series of PBB when it was on but it bored me so much. The series go on for such a long time and once they had a season with Teens, Celebs and Civilian all combined together. It was so confusing. Plus PBB is so producer manipulated at times with producers just coming up with storylines. Yet it's such a huge deal in the Philippines and I don't understand why. More Filipinos need to watch international BBs because they don't know what they are missing out on.

Mum (and dad, kinda) enjoyed it to varying degrees on Channel 4, moreso the earlier editions. Mum dipped in and out of the Channel 5 series, mainly because she was watching it because I was watching it

My Dad watched it from Day 1. I joined him during BB2, and went all the way until the end. Once we start something, we always have to finish the show!

My mum and dad loved Big Brother in its C4 years but neither watched it past BB8 or so. In the BB5-BB7 days I remember only being allowed to watch the show if it was on 9pm-10pm and then I had to go to bed straight after. If it started at 10pm I had to wait until the next day and watch the clean version lmao
