Doesn't this kinda undermine the Champions League?
Because who's gonna play their best players for the Champions League when they've got the Club World Cup plus their domestic leagues to take part in?

If Gianni Infantino hadn't already proven himself insane with comparing Europe's past history of atrocities with Qatar's current history of attrocities, and comparing himself being bullied for having ginger hair when he was younger to racism. He now has called the cagey matches that have plagued the Qatar World Cup the "greatest" World Cup, you just can't make it up.

I actually love the idea, it would be really interesting to see European teams play competitive games against South American ones
