On my dog walk this morning at around 8 i went passed 3 people in total and in each case I said good morning as did they. Do folks round your way say good morning when you pass by them? | |||

			Some do, some don’t.

I think there is an automatic acknowledgement with dog walkers. Same as hikers. I used to nod at a few people I saw every day on the trains when I worked in the city centre

Most do...a few don't. I think its nice when when people say hello to people they don't know.

Yes, most do, some will have headphones in and just ignore, there is a Sikh man who regularly runs around the lake and if you respond to him he says 'you made my day'

I think there's certain times you do - when it's early in the morning, when you're on a country walk, on a run and you pass another runner, and I guess dog walking. Just walking down the street in the middle of the day I think it'd be quite unusual though

What i used to find amusing is when you work in a large office you end up sort of singing "morning" as you say it to multiple people

More often than not I’ll show custom-cordiality with strangers with non-verbal gestures (not least because I don’t want to shoe-horn an unsuspecting stranger into having to verbally-respond back; introverts especially hate small talk) but I do try and politely-acknowledge people, especially when they’re familiar and I don’t dislike them (although it can be hard when you’re both wearing a face mask).

			Maybe in your aesthetically-base bait-world.

I've found it usually happened more to me when I went traveling on holiday, it's still happened in my hometown but not as often I don't think.
