I'm curious as to what this means for the other rotating members - Paul Merson (who, whilst I do like him, is more clueless than these 3), Tony Cottee (absolutely useless and boring as well), Alan McInally etc. Will they be promoted to regulars?

I'd imagine Sue Smith will get more features, she's alright. Not keen on Clinton Morrison, bit boring.

I feel they will go for more of a wider representative then just white males tbh and I wouldn't be surprised to see some others get dropped

I don't watch it much these days as I'd rather be at a live game but the familiarity of the pundits was part of the charm along with the blokey banter imo but I suppose that's also what might make it seem a bit stale
