lets consider this a general discussion thread shall we

Joel Dommett welcomes 18 castaways to the Dominican Republic, to the ultimate physical and psychological competition show. Divided into two rival tribes, they live on remote beaches, build their own shelters, face the elements and battle against each other in epic challenges for reward or immunity.

The two tribes are immediately pitted against each other in their first reward challenge - a brutally exhausting clash to retrieve basic supplies. Divisions begin to form, and personalities are put to the test as the losing tribe struggles to deal with the harsh environment.

The groups also compete in their first immunity challenge, an intense feat of endurance. For the losing tribe, it means a sunset showdown at tribal council, where they must vote off one of their own.

Which tribe will win the first immunity challenge? And who will become the first person voted out of the game, leaving their dreams of winning £100,000 and the title of Sole Survivor in tatters?

I’m thinking they should have the strong ones spread around then the weaker ones can pass their weight on to a stronger person

How did everyone find it?

I thought that was an OK first episode. Not a patch on US or Australian Survivor, but will give it a chance and hope it improves - I'm just glad the show is back! Tribal lacked suspense but it was only the first vote off.

I’ll watch the second episode but I hate the unfair start .. then after not eating they make them do a physical endurance test

I enjoyed it. Used to love it when it was on years ago. I haven't seen any of the international versions. It's like a harder shipwrecked

also very good, even won a national tv award here recently (65% of the viewer votes)



yes i enjoyed the first episode as well, some things i recognize from our version, but some things are different, like with the opening reward challenge, and a separate immunity challenge, whereas we just have one challenge a week, with a little reward also up for grabs as well as immunity

It’s on every Sat and Sunday

I’m not too sure of him atm, i’ve never heard any Irish person speak the way he does, it’s like a whole other language he’s speaking
