Casting for ITV's brand new show, The Neighbourhood, hosted by Graham Norton, is underway, with the channel on the lookout for North East households to take part.

The show is a street-sized reality game where only one household will win a life-changing cash prize.

Real households will move in side by side and face challenges, form alliances, and experience the ups and downs of neighbourhood life 24/7.

The 12-part series combines high-stakes competition, epic challenges, and domestic drama.

The Neighbourhood will see real-life households from all walks of life move in side by side, finding themselves not only neighbours but also fierce competitors in the ultimate reality showdown.

Producers have promised 'this is a game the households will live as well as play.'

Contestants will be with each other 24/7, sleeping and eating in their houses, socialising between them, and then voting each other out.

The challenges they face in public will change the dynamics behind closed doors.

To win, they’ll need to defeat their neighbours while still staying popular on the street.

Host Graham Norton said: "Like everyone, I’m always intrigued by what goes on behind closed doors.

"Add to that some dastardly challenges and a life-changing prize and I’m hooked.

"Both Lifted and The Garden are masters at what they do, so I feel confident The Neighbourhood will be the nation's favourite destination."

The format was developed by Lifted Entertainment's development team led by Kat Hebden and Development Exec Ed Daggett, alongside the Garden's Director of Development Mike Philo.

Lifted Entertainment and The Garden will co-produce.

why graham working for ITV now, I dont like when presenters dont stick with one channel, it doesnt seems right to see them across multiple channels, really jars me for some reason haha
