As regards words you can usually work out what something says or means ..

I worked with travellers decades ago ( landscape gardening ) and they coped admirably with poor reading skills- all great with numbers though

How is that cheating? Would listening to an Audiobook be cheating if you picked "can't read" because people who can't read can't understand the concept of words?

Well not having the concept of reading or counting would make it harder than just be able to cheat using devices

You can’t read so don’t understand the sign that says don’t take a step or you will be killed
