Default Would you ban this member?

Imagine that this guy is the chairman of a local Gay, Lesbian and Transgender group. He comes in to one weekly meeting and says he has found God and is born again (having been baptised at the local Baptist church). he says he is a Bible believing Christian now. He comes to the next meeting wearing a big cross around his neck and holding a lovely goatskin Bible (ESV translation).

Do you think that the members of the GL&T group would be right to say to him that they no longer feel that he should be chairman and actually he should leave the group?

Why would he even want to be a member? Have you read the bible? Have you read about what punishment should be given to gays? I've been on a few forums where Christianity threads devolve into mindless bickering between Christians and gays. It's not pretty.

For instance:

Quote:
Being gay goes against His word...

But He made me this way so He's evil...

He is not evil. He is the saviour and His word is law...

Well He doesn't make sense ...

Blahblahblahblah ...

My bad, forgot to answer the question. No, I would not ban him. I would allow him to stay there for as long as he wanted. Just to show that you can have faith in people, even if you don't have faith in God.

Not the case. They call gays sinners. They are saying gay people are sinners by allowing their natural instincts an outlet. Yet the God they praise made these people this way. But he won't let sinners into heaven, even if he made them that way. You know why? Because if He existed, he would be a cruel point-scoring prick, keeping Himself amused by watching the worker bees jump through moralistic hoops.

Everyone is a sinner. you, me, mr gay. all have sinned. if you have faith in Jesus and call him your saviour then you will be saved.

And,
No, I wouldn't ban him.
But I wouldn't have him as chairman. Still a member though.
But then again he probably wouldn't be part of the group after he found god anyways now would he?

What point? You mean your completely imagined and made up issue of religious persecution among a group of people you probably know nothing about?
