The voice of reason

Little update for you from an excellent forecaster on my uk.sci.weather newsgroup. His post today below makes interesting reading!
------------------------------------------------------------------ "From Wednesday onwards Britain will come under the grip of an unusually cold and snowy spell of weather for the time of year. Widespread snow over next weekend (from Friday) and perhaps a 'surprise' fall in the SW on hills on Wednesday. Convergence and instability release due to dynamical upper forcing around the low pressure centre will be the main mechanism, enhanced by local effects of shower streams off the sea and local convergence. It's still coming - believe me! The weather is going to be mega by this time next week and will be in the news every day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- get ready!
