Default If you were the President/King of the world

What laws and changes would you make?

First thing I would do is seize all the assets of banks throughout the world.
Set up 1 national bank in each country and transfer all the people's bank accounts to these national banks.
Once all this has been done each national government would keep 75% of the remaining money and 25% returned to the board of each bank, with a note saying good luck in your future endeavours
The stock exchange would be abolished too.

In UK I would close the gap between rich and poor.
Tax would start at 25% and increase upto 75% on a sliding scale.
Minimum wage set at £10 per hour.
So if they do 40 hours they get 400 per week and 20 000 per year.
At a certain amount tax would increase to 26% and then 27% and so on.
Everyone's wages would be increased accordingly so that after tax deducted their income has increased by at least 10%

Standard of living would be greatly improved and the government would have so much more tax to spend on schools, hospitals etc.
Police, soldiers and similar public service jobs would have a 50% pay rise.

Set up a new unemployment scheme. If someone has been out of work for 3 months, they would be given a job automatically in their chosen field. Eg Construction, admin, manufacturing etc
Once someone who was claiming benefit has found a job they would have the amount of tax they pay increased as a way of paying back the benefit.
Once they have paid back all the benefit, they would then have their tax returned to normal.

You dont understand much about economics do you? I'm no expert but most of that would be completely unviable

The current laws and rules of economic would no longer exist.
The entire system would be changed.

I dont really understand what you mean. Even here where we tax the rich over 50% it's basically ineffective because they find a way of staying out of that tax bracket and disincentivices people to make money, I dont see how implementing a 75% tax on anyone would be possible. And then such a big raise in the minimum wage would almost inevitable cause more unemployment and when you have that it isnt really so easy just to give someone a job. How would this new system of economics change that?

Yes the rich do find loopholes and offshore banks, but all these loopholes would be shut down and banks would no longer exist for them to hide their earnings.
There would still be plenty of millionaires but there would be far fewer billionaires.
Why does anyone have the right to be worth £1 billion plus when there are 1 billion plus people dying of starvation throughout the world.

But I'm not just talking about them finding a loop hole, I'm talking about them ensuring that they dont creep into a ridiculously high tax bracket while at the same time it will disincentivising people from generating the wealth that you will have to rely on. Just having one bank as a monopoly in each country is ridiculous as is robbing them of 75% of their money and handing it to the state. Still dont see how you'll avoid unemployment with you increase to the minimum wage as well

Next all the weapons manufacturers would be shut down, whether it is machine guns, tanks or nuclear weapons.
There would be a worldwide amnesty with cash incentive for everyone to hand over any weapons they own.
Eventually world would be rid of 99% of all weapons.

It'd be like the UK and their gun laws then. Crack down on all the ligitimate gun owners so that the only people with firearms are the criminals and nutcases. Peace through superior firepower. It's the only thing humans understand.

Ban all cars and force everyone to either ride a bicycle or take public transport. This is already popular in Scandinavian countries, but then again, we're all lazy ****s in the UK.
