'Unappreciation is ugly': Cheryl Cole hits back at former protegée Cher Lloyd's autotune comments

So it must have felt like a slap in the face for Cole to hear 18-year-old Cher's comments yesterday, slamming her former mentor for allegedly not singing live during her performances.

Tonight, Cheryl took to Twitter to hit back at the girl she once dubbed her 'mini-me', writing: 'Be Careful who you kick on your way up... They kick you twice as hard on your way back down.'
The Parachute singer added: 'Unappreciation is ugly.'
The scathing tweet comes after Swagger Jagger singer Cher appeared to make fun of Cole during an interview on the Real Breakfast for Real Radio North West show.

Asked if she would ever perform with Cheryl, Cher replied: 'Maybe if she sings live with me!'

After she was then asked if she thought the prospect of singing live would be a difficult one for Cheryl, Cher replied: 'Well it is nowadays, when you haven’t got the nifty little button to press!'

Presenter Debbie Oubsey asked Cher if she meant that Cheryl was relying on autotune, to which the teen laughed (somewhat sarcastically): 'What, oh no? Never, never ever!'

Cher may want to watch out, as Miss Cole boarded a flight bound for London just hours after her less-than-cryptic tweet.

I just watched a Panorama programme about Cyber bullying were Cher was upset by the negative things people say, so I find this quite ironic...I'm sure the girls will wrestle it out and make up

..I'm not really a huge fan of either tbh, but all of this cyber hate stuff is getting ridiculous...same with the CBB contestants

LOL Salman...I don't think inferring someone relies on autocues is quite in the same catagory as a death threat......but all of this cyber sniping in public is getting tedious

She said the thing about Cheryl in the heat of the moment in a radio interview. She gets asked about her all the time and I think she's probably just fed up of hearing it now.

Meh, they're both stroppy little madams. I used to like Cheryl Cole but in almost every interview I've seen of her in the last few years she's had a face like a smacked arse on her. Get Girls Aloud back together and stop all this solo career nonsense, nobody wants to hear any of them as solo artists.

But she's said in countless interviews she hasn't heard from or seen Cheryl since the show ended. She's probably upset about it and that's why she said what she did. Not saying she was right but I don't blame her.

Cher would have been put through regardless of who mentored her, we all know it's not just the judges choice alone. She owns nothing to Cheryl.
