The TOWIE star told the Daily Mirror: 'Our first date was amazing. I'm very happy. Look at her, she's beautiful.'

The news of their romance comes as no surprise, as viewers spent weeks watching them flirt in the jungle before they were voted out together.

It was lust at first sight for Joey, who said after he left the ITV show: 'When I first Amy I thought "salty potato", then I really looked at her and was like, "woaj, she's beautiful". But then I got to know her and I realised she's actually a proper nice girl.

On Monday the two I'm A Celebrity contestants were seen leaving the Palazzo Versace hotel, Queensland, on Monday, arm-in-arm with massive grins on their faces.

The former Miss Universe contestant wore a fuchsia bandage dress that glowed against her tan which she worked hard on getting during her time in the jungle.

Joey wore his usual skinny jeans with a patterned white polo shirt and brown leather deck shoes.

Earlier that day Joey had introduced Amy to his father Donald, who had previously said nothing is going on between his son and the model.

Joey's dad was convinced he would reconcile with his ex-fiancée Sam Faiers: 'They still love one another. Joey and Sam still have the rings. To be fair, nothing’s really happened with Amy.'

But that seems unlikely now, as Joey shows off his growing relationship by tweeting pictures of Amy and himself, most recently earlier in the day on a sun lounger by the Palazzo Versace's pool.

It never ceases to amaze me how posters can come on here offering one liners with sarcasm attached and expect to be taken seriously. Sam, if they carried the series for you then obviously you got a lot more out of watching them than we did. BTW if joey needed a water ring and wings, how come he is in Splash or maybe he is so thick he thinks the diving takes place in the shallow end.

The public are not smart they will only watch it if it's on a mainstream channel and wouldn't care if it was boring, and they only vote for nice people that's why Amy and Joey went out before the final.

it was soo obvious these 2 would "become a couple" and they will get as much publicity as possible
