...and rushed for medical treatment in the Celebrity Big Brother house

On Monday night, Sam Faiers was rushed to see doctors after her face swelled up like a balloon in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The reality star received emergency medical treatment for the symptoms which made her 'look like an alien', according to the Daily Star.

Insiders believe Sam, 24, had an allergic reaction that caused her face to swell at a rapid pace.

'The poor girl looked like something from a horror movie, like an alien,' a show source said about Sam, who first noticed signs of illness when her nose began to run uncontrollably.

The source added: 'She is so used to looking sexy and glam that she was really shaken and so were the other housemates.'

Sam was reportedly taken to see the show's doctors when the producers first learned of her symptoms, but the reaction began to subside, so the TOWIE star was treated on-site and given anti-allergy medication.

After a plaster was applied to her face, Sam was monitored by the medical staff until the symptoms stabilised and she was ready to go back into the house, with a team waiting on stand-by as a precaution.

This is the second health issue Faiers has suffered in the house, after previously complaining of an upset stomach.

She now stands to face the public vote after being nominated by Liz Jones and Jim Davidson.

Her potential eviction upset many of the other housemates, as she has been universally liked in the show, so Jim and Liz were accused of tactical voting.

The most disappointed to see Sam nominated was Ollie Locke, who has claimed he has feelings for the Essex girl.

'I'd be gutted if she left,' the Made In Chelsea star said.

Its likely to be a psychosomatic reaction to being evicted. I've always thought her face looked like a sqashed tomato. Never understood why people said she was attractive.

I do watch TOWIE sometimes and I was indifferent to Sam on the show but at least she showed some personality. I know that TOWIE and MIC are scripted reality shows but there was still an ounce of hope that they were a little bit more realistic. Now that idea has been completely tarnished. Even Mario on last season of CBB was a bore really and showed very little signs of a personality. Interesting how Mario attached himself to and became good friends with the most dramatic HM's last year Carol, Louis and Charlotte and this season Sam has latched on to Linda, another drama filled HM. I did like Sam the first week of the CBB show. I thought she seemed really nice and I was looking forward to watching her. She does seen like a nice girl but just void of a personality and certainly not entertainment for a reality show such as CBB. She is just being portrayed as a very boring person and all I ever see her doing is laying in bed with Linda wrapped under the covers. Even if the reason behind her more mellow side is because of the medical issues she has been dealing with, I think if they had shown some of that in the episodes, the viewers of the show would be alot more sympathetic towards Sam and it might make her seem a bit more interesting. Just my opinion though!

Also lastnight on BOTS, Ollie's friend Ashley who Emma interviewed. She was supposed to be Ollie's girlfriend in Ollie's last season of MIC. She struggled with their relationship because of his sexuality. So when I was watching her being interviewed by Emma lastnight, I couldn't help but think it just seemed weird that she was on BOTS advocating a relationship between him and Sam. It again just made MIC come off as even more fake.
