Well it is always nice to hear a Mothers voice but the message was really short and a bit pointless in my view.

He moaned at being out after the first night of the series, he wanted to go back in, did so and has then been a bubbling wreck ever since, with no tears whatsoever, never once a tissue needed and no signs of any tears at all down his face.

Really, the house is clearly no good to him at all, he needs to go back home and as near instantly as possible too.

I didn't say men didn't cry, i actually gave context for my statement. I am completely bored with all this politically correct pandering. I know plenty straight and gay men and women that would not shed a single tear in the circumstances that he has found himself in the house, none would do so with the regularity that Simon has. I suggest if you think thats normal, you come from a completely different sphere of life to me, because I have lived a long time, met many, many people, in many different countries, and I've never seen it.

Yeah, and your context was that it's not normal for a man to behave in that way with 'all that crying'. So what you're insinuating is that it would be understandable for a woman to cry as much as Simon has, but pretty weird for a man to. That's what you're saying, is it not? Regardless of whether Simon is a mess or not - which he is and that's what makes him a hilariously brilliant housemate - the very idea that there should be or is levels of frequency of which it's acceptable for a man to cry is just absurd, and sexist.

As fake as all of his other tears have been, I bought these ones - and I don't see the issue with them either. I expect most people would get upset hearing from a loved one when you're locked away with no outside contact for 24 hours a day. The fact it's been a week doesn't make any difference in my opinion.

To be fair he needed this message from home. I know he's only been in there a week but the others don't need that message as much as he does. The others don't count because they haven't had it as hard as Simon. He was evicted on launch night and so he deserves all the special treatments that's available. None of the others got evicted on launch night so they don't know how badly he wanted to stay and even though he was given a second chance he still deserves it because his needs are what's important in that house, not anyone else's needs.

I know he messed up with Eileen but he paid for that by having a fake emotional breakdown and then when he was given another chance he messed up with Chloe and he paid for that by having another fake emotional breakdown.

What the rest of the selfish housemates don't understand is that Simon has lived half of his life and they have many more years left than him so that makes his needs more important then theirs.

None of them actually understand how draining it is to keep having fake emotional breakdowns and if they did they probably still wouldn't suffer as much as Simon has.
