I don’t know the answer or if there is one, I just saw people argue over it and it got me thinking. Its not something I really ever considered before.

I think having babies when you're old is quite cruel tbh bc you'll just be dead soon anyway

It depends on the individual, can that person care for that child, being and older Mum presents it own risks.

I would say realistically 50 to have a good chance of seeing the child through to adulthood, though obviously there are never any guarantees. I mean if you knock out a kid at 75 there's a pretty good chance you're not going to be at their 10th birthday party.
Obviously for females having kids past 45 - 50 isn't an option anyway without medical intervention. Personally I would say that's the "right" age to stop for both men and women. But yeah, each to their own I suppose. I personally am glad to have had mine relatively young (first at 24, second at 27)... I can't imagine being up at 3am with a baby even NOW, let alone at 45 ![]() |

Besides, you could have a kid and die in childbirth at the age of 22. Last edited by Underscore; 10-03-2019 at 06:58 PM. |

45ish I think, you want to be around a healthy enough to actually be able to raise them.

there is no age limit now with surrogates and frozen bits. The parents could easily have been feeding the daisies for decades before their first child is born

I reckon 40ish is a good age to stop,Specially if you have boys.
I’m younger than that and my boys knacker me out. Full of energy.Always wanting to fight and play games that involve some kind of intense cardio. They don’t half keep you fit. I could imagine if i was mid 40’s I wouldn’t be able to keep up. |
