Twice recently I've pleaded for assistance with separate threads and there's never anyone around. As far as I'm aware there are only two active mods plus James. Josy is rarely to be seen. Niamh and Matt can't man the forum consistently 247 between them.

Never said it was. Just said it's my opinion they are woefully understaffed. It's quite valid that there's nobody around when stuff gets reported and things wouldn't escalate the way they do.

Unless the site goes back to the size it was, say 7 or 8 years ago, it won't be getting or needing new mods.

Annie and Ness are the only ones that haven't been in drama with folks. Annie is around infrequently and I doubt ness would even want to deal with pissed off people all the time.

No new mods were added a couple of years ago before the previous exodus, and it was still just the 2 doing it then.

It probably will get busier seeing as we'll be having an "on season" again (for at least 1 year anyhow)

I came back in 17, and there were definitely loads more folks around at that time, than currently.

Whilst I’m grateful that you think I’d be a good mod, I’m barely on here and it’s should be someone who is more active (Josy is probably more active on here than I am ).

AnnieK would be a good mod I think but at the same time I understand why she wouldn’t want to be a mod (having to put up with the drama etc.) because it’s something I wouldn’t want to do either.

Nimah has to be congratulated for the **** she has to deal with but I agree with Slim, unless there’s a massive influx of new members in the next few weeks, it’s not needed. People have lives and can’t be on 24/7.

There’s a way to stop things escalating, that being don’t escalate it People take this site way too seriously

Speaking for myself I just see the site as a bit of fun, with some friendly people to chat with.

Admittedly I probably did take the Site too seriously when I was younger, I still remember some of my behaviour towards members like Jessica & Patrick.
