I have to say I'm rather confused as to why Joe Pesci got one for Goodfellas. He's incredibly typecast and his role in the movie was minimal to say the least. Maybe it was a slow year.
The obvious injustice is Michael Clarke Duncan not winning (the same award) for The Green Mile. Michael Caine? Pah.
