According to Alison Grodner:

- The house will feature 12-14 houseguests
- The theme of the season will 'Summer Camp', following BB11's 'High School' theme.
- She has been on the record as stating: "This year it will be more difficult than ever before. Allison commented that in order to keep the game interesting for the fans and challenging for the house guests, things will not be quite the same as previous years. Expect the unexpected, things will be less predictable."


^ A bit of a format change?

- Stated that this is the most diverse group YET. The last time this was said was BB10, which proved to be an incredibly diverse group with people of many backgrounds, ages and cultures.

- Confirmed this is NOT the last season of Big Brother.


Houseguest Rumors:

- Shantrice Wilkerson, black female, 26 years old, from Hollywood, CA. Apparently is employed by former contestants Mike Malin/Will Kirby's restaurant business "Dolce". Tweeted that she received a call back from the producers during the time FINAL call backs were going out to the contestants.


- Russell Hantz - After Jeff and Jordan went on TAR, it wouldn't be too out of the question to see ANOTHER CBS cross over. A friend of Bobby Mason/Shane Powers from Survivor has stated Russell was asked to appear on this current season of Big Brother and allegedly agreed. This would go in-line with the NUMEROUS reports that Hantz would be back for Survivor 21 or 22 (after 2 seasons in a row, BB (Another cbs Reality Show) would make more sense). He also stated that "America should have a percentage of the votes" at the HvV finale. Ironically enough, during the Samoa finale he stated that he "Should be playing with All-Stars!" Foreshadowing? Perhaps.

I hope they add HG Handgrenade from their friends up north (Canada has adopted US format but doctored it up with new ideas). This Season is gonna be epic i hope there is a HG exchange with the UK house this year (maybe last chance)

* As expected, the BB12 house is decorated with mostly a beach/summer camp theme. One of the walls has been taken down and there are now only two bedrooms (not counting HOH).

* The small bedroom looks like a beach with various size sandcastles (fake) and beach balls. There's a really pretty ocean mural painted on the wall with reeds running along it which makes it look very realistic. Two of the beds are beach lounge chairs and two of the beds are simply beach towels. In this room, there are no mattresses.

* The big bedroom looks like a summer camp cabin. There are bunk beds along the wall and a big sleeping bag on the floor which fits more than one person. A giant (fake) moose head hangs from the wall. The dressers are adorned with lanterns and other cabin-esque accents.

* In the living room, there's a big screen behind the couches and nomination chairs that plays a continuous loop of crashing waves. Fake palm trees stand on each side of it. The carpet is shag and sandy colored. The wall opposite the nomination chairs is decorated with an ocean sunset mural which is gorgeous. The whole room looks like a tropical paradise.

* There's a large fish tank between the living room and the kitchen with really exotic looking fish inside. It's the first thing you see when you walk into the house.

* The kitchen looks like a cabin. There's a big round picnic table in the corner. Glossy wood paneling covers the walls which lends to the summer camp cabin theme. The floors are hardwood. The memory wall is made of glossy wood paneling as well and it's designed to look like big (plastic) ladybugs are crawling all over it. Really cute.

* The bathroom is really pretty. The walls are shiny and metallic and decorated with different shades of blue and the floor looks like sand (fake though). The seashell sinks are designed to look like they're floating in mid air. Big blue lava lamps hang on the wall on each side of the mirror. The bathroom gives off an "under the sea" vibe.

* The diary room looks the same as last year except the background is lit red instead of blue.

* The hallway to the HOH room is also beach themed, but instead of the usual couch/chess set on the upstairs landing, there's now a mini gazebo.

* The HOH room is bizarre. It's sort of a creepy carnival theme which doesn't fit with the rest of the house at all. In one corner, there's a fortune telling arcade machine. In another corner, there's a tank with a giant (and I mean GIANT) tarantula inside. Along the walls are funhouse mirrors which make you look taller/shorter/fatter/skinnier as you walk past them.

* The backyard has a volleyball net but there are no volleyballs. Just beach balls. The pool table is gone and a foosball table has taken is place.

* The "green" room (formerly the spa/workout room) is perhaps the most bizarre room we've ever seen in all twelve seasons of Big Brother. It's decorated to look like a funeral parlor. In the middle of the room is a big white casket with an open lid. Behind the casket is a large frame that says "rest in peace" with a space for someone's picture in the middle. The casket is surrounded by funeral bouquets. With the exception of a small table in the corner and a candy dish, there is nothing else in this room. The walls are plain white with minimal decor.

After hearing the hoh room it sounds like they took a page out of the uk house and slammed the theme into the room hmmm...fortune telling machine eh? Something tells me that it may have some link to the uk version maybe....HG swap with the uk?

It does seem weird that the HOH bedroom is exactly the same theme as BBUK.

I'm not gonna judge the theme yet but I hope the house is ok. The theme seems like it's already been used before. They also do a summer theme or a cabin esque theme, it's boring.

I hope Shantrice is a housemate, and she probably is because after that tweet she deleted her twitter. Suspicious, right?

I just hope there is a least one super hot girl, but BBUS is usually pretty good about that.

The one thing I wish they would do though is have a bigger crowd and allow to crowd to boo if they please. When Ronnie got evicted last season and people clapped, I was FURIOUS because I wanted him to know how hated he actually was by the public (probably one of the most hated housemates of all time, like people were actually saying death threats towards him online).

And I really want them to do a best bits as well. If BBUK took a few ideas from BBUS this season, I think BBUS should do the same and take some ideas from BBUK.

I agree, I was hooked with those three seasons, I really enjoyed those.

The house sounds interesting, I think i'd have to see it to make a proper judgement on it.

The house sounds very promising so far. The US designers never fail to impress me (except BB11) so I'm very looking forward to it.
