Default BB's editing

The editing has been fantastic this year, especially tonights with the superhero/comic theme. It's kind of a shame, it's really been improving since the start of CelebBB but we're not going to be seeing it for much longer.

What will we not be seeing much longer? The editing?

Of course we will.

I agree.

After the lameness of BB8 (13 weeks), the mediocre BB9 (13 weeks) and then the ultimately boring BB10 (14 weeks) this series is the one they're cutting short. I want it to run its course for the full 13. Wish we could petition against the all stars. Nikki proved in BB7 that housemates returning is never as good as their first stint.

Although I suppose the series might hold up better if it has less time to get worse like BB9 which was good but stretched too much at the end.

I mean considering it's the final BB.

I think it makes the show look like a gimmicky joke and bring out the worst in it, myself.

I even changed the channel when someone came in the room.

And it's really, really unfunny.

The essential beauty of BB was the bare bones, simplistic 'narrator and a set of cameras' production.

The "narrator and a set of cameras" simplicity wore off in BB4. The show has lasted ten years by changing.

I really like it, noticed they carried it on from CBB7.

No it didn't. It lasted right up until January of this year and it worked out pretty well for the most part. Like series five. That was a gem.

Slapping a funny song on when the housemates are doing funny things in their funny costumes isin't 'making changes to the show'.

And ironically the show won't last past eleven years because it hasn't changed so you may want to reflect on the argument you are proposing.

It did change. Many times. Yes it fell into a rut during BB8 and the producers weren't even trying BB8 - BB10 but it has evolved over the years.
So, yes that rut caused it to get axed but it's changed again this year albeit too late but still it's change.

Aye, thank god they made these radical changes to the format like .. you know ... the parrot and the whacky video effects.

The ratings are skyrocketing.

The changes they made aren't the sort of changes that would attract new broadcasters except Five.

They should of changed the format in slightly more ways, the only change of format we have had is Save and Replace and hats off, I think that is brilliant.

The rest of these 'changes' were un-needed and I'm talking about the eviction process:

-The Best Bits being played too early.
-The Best Bits having crap effects.
-The Callers that have a crap phone during the interviews.
-And of course the ******ing music when they walk out that drives me insane.

These need to go, they really need to **** immediately especially the music.

Like I said I do like the new editing but on some occasions like tonight, tonight really was a good one but I don't like the editing to the point were you miss out so much of what actually happens like to the point were they would edit it to make it look fast and then you miss a good one liner.
That's why I prefer Live Feed.

I agree, the eviction process is a shambles. It's a huge part of BB and should be sorted. Too late now though.

CBB7 and BB11 have been really refreshing but ultimately the most highly edited or manipulated by producers.

The nominations aren't as long drawn out but obviously the editors just cut to the chase and so we, the viewers, probably miss a great deal of what was said. And the tasks are shown as entertaining montages, again probably missing a lot out.

The Tree of Temptation is obviously a tool for producers to create drama/humour/conflict between HMs by specifically making Shabby compliment Ben (the one HM she could not stand at the time) and the date with Caoimhe obviously made their friendship sour.

Bob Righter is a lot like the Purple Ninja in BB:CH and was is mroe about the evicted HMs still having an effect on the house, but if Davina McCaw is just going to replay previous conversations to cause drama it's as bad as the Tree

I wasn't talking about things like the parrot or anything. But watch BB1, then BB5, then BB8, then BB11 and tell me the show didn't change.
