See... this is the thing with fame hungry souls.

They are happy to flaunt themselves all over the place when they want the publicity and want the recognition - that allows the Paps to be photographing them all the time, all over the place - and they (the celeb) are more than happy when there is all the pushing/shoving/josteling with cameras shoved in their faces .

Then they suddenly realise that it takes over: they change the rules - and start crapping on the very people that helped make them famous ....

Double edged sword and all that.

Plenty of other celebs who manage to maintain privacy without having to get abusive.

Beiber wanted the fame: he's got it - this comes along with the territory- and if he wants some privacy - this isn't the way to go about it.

I don't agree with the whole 'well you're famous and it comes with fame'. Well, yeah, but why should it? Why should that be acceptable?

I think celebrities should have to deal with some amount of intrusion but I do think the paparazzi over step the mark as well. Diana is a prime example of this. Also, taking up skirt pictures of female celebrities and zooming into their private properties is well out of order imo.

My point was more that it's fine when it suits them, but not when it doesn't.

Many major celebs are more than able to maintain privacy and the paps respect that right (which let's be honest, they are still entitled to it when all is said and done) - but I think it has to be laid in ground rules to start off with - if not: then this is what happens.

Famous people are made famous by the very nature of being recognised: and it does come with the territory. It's how you handle it (imo) is when and why the paps do respect other celebs who manage to have very private lives without too much hassle (from us mere mortal bystanders)

That is a completely fair and very reasonable point about some paps going completely overboard. Some do indeed go OTT and have no scruples whatsoever - but unfortunately, we have people like that in all walks of life - I do agree with your sentiments on this point though.

Again, another good point. They are famous for being recognised - that is the down side of the 'job' - and let's be honest: most jobs, will and do have 'down sides' to them.

As for the market for intrusive photos: we are (most of us) guilty as being part of that very market: given that we all look at even the 'intrusive' photos when they are available; post them on forums etc, discuss them (the rights and wrongs) in depth etc.

We are as guilty sometimes - that's the rub.

Then witnesses said that a lawyer just walked up to the guy and said you can get alot of money for that.
