Default Japan gets 4th in Gymnastics, complains and gets silver, knocking England to bronze
confusing thread but my mum told me she watched the gymnastics and basically..

-GB finished 2nd and got silver
-Ukraine finished 3rd and got bronze
-Japan finished 4th
-Japan complained and got bumped up to silver, knocking GB down to bronze
- Ukraine gets stripped of their bronze so GB can have it.

How unfair is this? They finished in 4th and somehow bribed their way up to 2nd?

I agree it's disgusting, that guy fell on his routine so Japan didn't deserve it.

They didn't " bribe " their way to 4th they were entitled to make an inquiry about how the scoring was done based on Difficulty and the landing and the score was changed fairly after a review, it can happen to anyone.. so blame the scorers for getting it wrong in the first place

Annoying, but they were consistent throughout the competition
and more frustrating for Ukraine tbh, going from 3rd to 4th

I heard that they werent very good and yes, Ukraine must be really annoyed.

but at least the UK still get something (even if it is 1 place less )

But we should have been 2nd, arguably 1st as we didn't put a foot wrong.

China normally are and they was very good tonight, but we definitely was up there with them, Japan however was miles behind both in quality and especially after one of there guys ****ed up aswell.

I was there and Japan won the silver fair and square. The judges hadn't awarded correct mark for his landing and the closeness of the scores meant it only needed a tiny uplift to give them silver. It's Ukraine I felt sorry for.

Exactly it must just be awful to go from Bronze to nothing
China were fantastic as per usual, just wish the scoring was done correct in the beginning
