whos the best front man of the greatest ever bands?
Is it..... Jagger Daltrey Bono Jim Morrissey neil tennant, eric burden (the animals), richard ashcroft paul heaten (the housemartins and beautiful south Jacko-Jackson 5 Annie Lennox- eurythmics (yes I know shes a woman lol) Robert Plant Liam Gallacher Kelly Jones ian Curtis paul weller the jam suggs madness Ian Brown Robert Johnson Springsteen (if u classify him as front man for band or solo artist) Phil collins genesis Neil Finn-Crowded House Marc Bolan Freddie Mercury david Gilmour chris martin Ray davies the kinks thom yorke-radiohead Kurt cobain Morrissey gary barlow (Ive seen more passion in a potted plant but each to their own lol) etc etc Or perhaps you have others , please let us know if I may be mildly patriotic here...it Seems to be theyre nearly all british/irish/englishmen too which is awesome ![]() Last edited by the truth; 03-03-2013 at 09:10 PM. |

Billy Joe Armstrong is a pretty amazing front man....but Freddie Mercury was the ultimate front man....

top five for me:
(i wouldn't include bowie because he was solo but i suppose he technically had a band) plant, daltrey, mercury, ian curtis and morrissey i'd also say hendrix because he was part of the 'experience' but i dunno, seemed more of a solo dude to me ![]()

I think Jim Morrison is pretty awesome, and a really intense performer (from the bits I've seen). If I could go to any gig from history, it would have to be a Doors gig.

Remembering Kerry

I'd go for Freddie Mercury, he was such a massive presence when onstage.
However,had his life not ended so tragically, I would have said Ian Curtis of Joy Division. From the old films of concerts I have seen of them,he had incredible stage presence too coupled with a vulnerability,which was another drawing in factor. A great talent lost way too soon. |
