On Eviction Nights, I think they'll scrap the classic 'This is...' line when speaking to the house.
'This is Brian' never caught on - I mean still to this day when watching a Channel 5 eviction, I still wished for Brian to trip up and say 'This is Davina x'. The only reason they put that into the script in 2011 anyway, was to add some familiarity to the viewers, regarding the Davina years. Now that we have a third host, I can't see them carrying that famous line on. I mean lets be honest, 'This is Emma..' doesn't have a ring to it either. So I propose a new way of speaking to the house, and a whole overhaul of the 'catch phrases' in general. 'It's time to talk to the house, Big Brother house, you are live on Channel 5 please do not swear. Housemates, for the past three days the Great British Public have been voting for the person they want to stay in the house. Rebeckah, Aden and Chris. The votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal that the second person to be evicted from the Big Brother house, IS...' That is how I think it should be done. Bring abit of the old Channel 4 script back but mix it up abit! The way Brian carried out the evictions was so ******ing dull.

If they want to go down that road they should go for 'It's Emma' or 'I'm Emma Willis' - has more of a sound to it than 'this is emma x'

I miss 'I'M COMING TO GET YOUUUU' - although it kind of stopped being relevant after like the first series. But still.
'You have lost your place in the house' meh.

I hate keep bringing in other formats, but it would be great for Emma to have a casual chat and catchup with the house like Arisa does for instance.

I hate "your time has come" because when someone is up more than once it just has no relevance. It's only relevant to the person whose time has actually came, ie. the person being evicted.

"Please do not swear" needs to come back
I hope they don't do that ridiculously long pause after calling a nominee's name |

And like she'll show them a funny moment from the week on the plasma (i.e. Chris with his task victory reaction). Would be so good.

It will most likely be "This is Emma" or some variation.
I think they should drop that line with the name. The catchphrase is Davina's and doesn't work with anyone else. Just straight into "Big Brother House.... etc etc". |

"Big Brother House... it's Emma. We are live, please do not swear. It's eviction time. A, B and C... the lines have closed and the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal that the first person to be evicted from the Big Brother House, is... A. You have 30 seconds to say your goodbyes, we're waiting for you."
something like that would work |

I also think we could incorporate BBUSA and use the screen.
Emma stands in the studio and the camera switches on to her face. The housemates don't see any banners. Emma says "Hello Housemates" and then speaks to them more formally, maybe asking the housemates a couple of questions before saying "It's eviction time." She could then maybe have a card in an envelope with the name of the housemate who is leaving and say "In this envelope is the name of the housemate who will be evicted. The public have voted, they've been counted and verified and I am now going to reveal their choice." Following this, she opens the envelope and turns the card to face the camera and says the name. The housemates also see the name. Then she says "Say your goodbyes, I'll see you in 30 seconds" before the screen goes off. I think this would be quite a nice new way of revealing the evicted housemates because it's more formal and calm and hasn't been done (in UK Big Brother). |

She should just do whatever comes naturally, who cares if it is similar to what Davina or Brian said? Forcing something else is one of the reasons "Your time has come" sounded wooden.

Certainly don't think the host should initiate a conversation with the housemates as some have suggested. Also, isn't the envelope idea more related to music shows such as X Factor.
I think the way it is now is fine, just replace it with Emma's name. |

Certianly don't want Emma to adopt the 'It's crunchtime' catchphrase, that's something Brian should take to the grave
