..what would you do to make the forum more active...positive suggestions..?...

the site could do with a presence on social media... I know there's a Twitter and Facebook but they're not really updated very often and could do with some following sprees to boost the numbers a bit

and I don't want to complain about the current designs but the theme is really a bit dated, and a lot of the subforum icons look really tacky. Particularly these:

I think tibbs is quite busy actually.

All new members that join should be assigned a moderator, who will then send them a welcome pm to open up a dialogue, make them feel welcome, and is the beginning of finding out what things they like.

If, from an introductory ,Niamh finds out that person x is also a member of a health and beauty forum, then she could highlight that area of TIBB, if person y likes football, then she could get one of the men to pm that person and discuss things like the prediction game etc.

I had no idea about any of the other side of TIBB, until I was reading the BB forum in off season and BD mentioned it. If you cross sell the other areas of tibb, then you're probably more likely to get a higher strike rate of people staying. TIBB is such a specific name about a specific show, that people need to be willing to explain that to people.

Yeah, actually now you mention it when I joined it took me 3 months to realise that there was other sections besides the BB section

..yeah, that's a bit like the 'buddy system' that lots of schools have to help younger people through transitional periods...it's quite a simple/basic but very effective thing...it would also give newer members a little comfort in that if they had any problems doing anything technical etc..or not understanding anything, they would maybe feel...oh, Niamh's 'my mod', I'll just ask her what this is all about/how to do this...and be comfortable to do it by PM because they may feel embarrassed to say something on an open forum and just try to muddle/struggle through instead.....

TIBB is still a business and like it or not, the more money it makes for James, the more likely people are to get new designs added or servers that can host more than 10 people without exploding.

Yeah, the money received will be linked to traffic across TIBB, and traffic created by clicking on the links.

..ok, I see now...it just never occurred to me that anyone clicks on the links/advertisements...although occasionally my curser seems to do it on it's own..(it must be hovering..)..and I can find myself in a strange alternate world...

Don't know bout the rest of the forum but for the sports forum I can tell the lack of knowledgeable posters is putting of potential sporting members. Not naming any names COUGH novo Cough leon are two of the biggest culprits

What you can do about it I don't know cause simply you can't teach a old dog new tricks and although these lads seem like very nice guys quite simply they don't know **** about sport
