![]() "I think it is about a diamond dealer... Or does he deal with crystals? I am not sure," oblivious Corrie mainstay tells Rita Prim and proper Emily Bishop is set to become hooked on Breaking Bad in a hilarious Corrie tribute to the hit US meth drama. Weatherfield's longest-running female character, played by 83-year-old Eileen Derbyshire, becomes addicted to the award-winning show starring Bryan Cranston after being given a DVD box set. But oblivious Emily mistakenly believes the addictive series revolves around crystals of a sparkly type. "I am really looking forward to it," she tells Rita Tanner in next Friday's episode. "I think it is about a diamond dealer... Or does he deal with crystals? I am not sure." Rita replies: "Well, I love stuff about jewellery." Corrie scriptwriters even give an unseen character the name of the show's central drug kingpin charatcer - as well as punning on the programme's title. Turning down a babysitting offer, Emily later explains: "A friend from church has had a fall and broke his hip so I need to go and sit with him. His name is Walter White. He is quite active in the community. It is quite a bad break." The Mirror ![]() |

Can they use the word bitch in soaps? If so they must take advantage of it.
