Default Anyone underwhelmed?

Still love the show and will continue to watch it but last night I was fairly bored. There wasn't a stand out housemate and I thought Pauline was just over hyped and it'll soon calm down and she probably won't even reach the final.

Last year as soon as I saw Sallie, Gina, Dexter, Wolfy etc they all seemed very different and when they entered they stood out. This year all their VTs seemed too similar.

I'm hoping for some diversity tonight and hope the show picks up.

I think this housmates are better than last year although gina is welcome to enter but when we saw a quick snap of the housemates tonight look like a totally different bunch then last night

I enjoyed the launch, was a little disappointed with the twist but thought the rest was great.

I'm not bowled over yet as it felt more like the start of the apprentice with the feel of the VT's but I shall wait until the rest go in tonight to make a final judgement.

The first few housemates made me think it was all a bit Apprentice 2.0 and then the last 4 from Kimberly to Pauline and the twist really perked up my interest.

I actually enjoyed it much more than Secrets and Lies' launch. Last year, Launch #2 perked my interest, but I remember feeling kind of flat after the initial one.

Last night, however, felt much more atmospheric and BB-like for me.

It was like the B line up for "The Apprentice", plus Jizzy P to fulfill some sort of quota. "Oh bollocks, pretty much all of them are young white people!! Quick, someone throw in a 50 year old black woman."

And then of course, the GBP (sorry, I mean the GB iPhone owners) picked the LEAST power-hungry housemate to be in power, who predictably jumped straight onto the fence by "punishing" that completely unthreatening little posh bloke instead of who she actually wanted to choose (crystal clear from her reactions) - the bible-bashing homophobe girl. Probably because she seemed more intimidating and she didn't want to rock the boat on the first night.

I'm not impressed so far, all of them seem to be genuinely unlikeable. Hoping for better tonight!

Yeah, I thought this launch was better than BB14's first launch. Onl Sallie sttod out for me last year, whilst this year I think Pauline, Danielle, Tamara, Kkimberly and Matthew all have great potential.

I'll be pleased with this cast overall if we get a few more eccentrics and oldies tonight

I liked it, it's never going to be what it was years ago but C5 are atleast keeping it fresh and trying new things every year

wost launch i can think of. i think someone summed it up right when they said about the apprentice its basically that show put into bb.

i hate the power trip room and housemates watching v.ts on night one. and none of the housemates stand out , add to that the stupid pointless givign them money from the prize fund on night one. and stopping one mingle , its just piss poor to be honest.

last year was straight away interesting housemate. moles.lots of secrets and mistrust.
hopefully tonights changes all that. if they add more of the same. then hmm

I do like it but last night when Christopher went in it kind of summed up how BB had changed drastically.

Christopher: I thought Big Brother just supplied the booze and let things go how they're meant to (or something)?

Emma: No, it's POWER TRIP this year!!!

Last year people moaned about Big Brother being the usual freak show... C5 have done the opposite and now the people are too plain...

I can't say I was overly excited last night although I wasn't last year either tbh. You can never judge the series or housemates after so little time of seeing them. I think the best time to judge is by day 7. If it's stale by then you're in for a long summer.

I'd give it time though. New housemates tonight, a 'twist' of some description too; in a week I think a better judgement can be made. It surprises me how many people can write the series off when it hasn't even begun.

I thought last years housemates were fairly normal to be honest and I thought that was the general opinion.

These housemates are more of a freakshow, so unlikeable.

Yep i am disappointed so far and I had such high hopes. The house the eye the titles the set the theme Emma ect all great all that was needed were good housemates and I don't think we have good housemates. It's made me appreciate what great housemates we had last year compared to the dull lot we have now. Seriously I had bb7 vibes about this series. How wrong I was!!!! There still is time for it to get better but at the moment I don't think I will be able to watch an entire series with this lot.

I just want a load of loons in and let loose anything goes, I want to see flirtiness i want to see arguments i want to see it all kick off, this lot they've put in, as much as there all power hungry there all sort of smart in there own right and will know how to play it more, so we'll see a more mellow house i think overall as much as they all seem great on paper, lets hope tonights lot are the loons to counter all the o i'm better than everyone lot, except winston just love winston he looks like he in it for a good time and he seems likable, there are a couple, we'll see, not liking the one who went to war against his parents to become rich, such a bad attitude to have yes he's rich now but you still have to treat your parents with respect, giving out the wrong message to kids i feel, but thats just me lol

Seemed fine to me bar the fact the age group is all so similar.
