I think the ratings were down to the World Cup ending more than Armageddon.

Give the show a big name and advertise it and it will do a bit better. But it's still degenerated into farce and become almost unwatchable.

I do laugh at people who say "It has to move on". The Roman Empire moved on... Into the Dark Ages. The idea is to improve things by building on what worked. Not to reduce the show to Tracey Emin unmade bed shock tactics which ultimately just makes it little more than a morbid curiosity.
