The LIVE Armageddon twist that aired on Monday night has seen a ratings boost for Big Brother 2014 and Channel 5, with the show reaching its highest viewing figures since the launch.![]() Monday nights live special, which saw one housemate immediately evicted with no public vote and also the arrival of three brand new housemates averaged 1.61 million viewers (9.9% share) including Channel 5+1. Spin off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side also saw some higher viewing figures as 740k viewers (8.5%) including +1 tuned in. Armageddon continues all this week ending with a double eviction of one original and one new housemate on Friday! |

Give the show a big name and advertise it and it will do a bit better. But it's still degenerated into farce and become almost unwatchable. I do laugh at people who say "It has to move on". The Roman Empire moved on... Into the Dark Ages. The idea is to improve things by building on what worked. Not to reduce the show to Tracey Emin unmade bed shock tactics which ultimately just makes it little more than a morbid curiosity. |
