Default Phone Farage. Nigel deals with "Bill-gate"

http://www.lbc.co.uk/watch-nigel-far...e-on-lbc-96464

Well done Nigel, a politician with principals and UKip once again cleaning house swiftly and Nick giving him a pat on the back for answering questions well

Ukip has suspended MEP and General Election candidate Janice Atkinson "following allegations of a serious financial nature", the party said on Thursday night.

Atkinson is an MEP for the South East and was due to contest the Folkestone and Hythe seat in the election on 7 May.

The decision is thought to be related to footage obtained by The Sun newspaper who said it had secretly filmed a member of Atkinson's staff "apparently plotting to make a substantial bogus expenses claim" by asking a restaurant for a lunch invoice over £2,000 what the was actually paid.

But surely honest old UKIP aren't prone to such establishment vices as fiddling expenses? Bet they are all at it but Farage has convinced her to fall on her sword

Nigel Farage knows his best policy is to publicise and sack all party members who are found to be unlawful, racist or have acted in a criminal way.

He knows he has more than a few undesirables who have flocked to his party because they think it gives legitimacy to their racist or fascist behaviour.

I think he appreciates it will take time to weed out these thugs and he also knows he will have to accept negative press due to this.

But eventually his party will reflect the views of ordinary hardworking long suffering patriotic British people who want to protect their cultural identity and not be subsumed into some vast European state.

UKIP will get stronger and bigger and will be eventually the third party in British politics unless the conservatives start listening to people.

Farage probably taking such a strong line because he was up to it to and is looking to deflect. Look at her words: ""The idea is we overcharge them slightly because that's the way we repatriate it". Not an individual thing like Jack Straw for example, she is very clearly saying that this is something we do, probably as a party to try and stick it to the EU.

You heard it here first, they're all up to it

Let me get this right... A member of UKIP fiddles expenses, and the thread is pro UKIP because of "how well it was handled"? H... Heh.

It's a good thing this forum isn't a physical place, and that Nigel isn't here, because he gets sucked off so savagely that he'd turn inside out. Which is just messy.

Yes I've heard some shocking double standards around lately
benefit claimants? = taxpayer shafting basts!
expenses fraudsters? = slap on the wrist, public funds are there for them to exploit... it's expected.

The stupidity of the assistant is stunning. She was always going to get caught. And yes, it does happen... but there are so many checks in place to catch out people fiddling that if you do fiddle eventually you're bound to get your fingers burned. Whichever party you work for you're always going to get someone who supports a different party trying to trip you up. She deserves to go to prison and set some kind of example. It was swiftly handled by Farage, unlike the dithering in other parties. Not that I am a fan of Farage, nor do I have any interest in blowing him, metaphorically or otherwise (TS).

Farage dealt with it well. But why does he have to gurn incessantly in photos?
