I hear alot of people say Sam is fake but seriously they've been in that house a long time now, could a person really keep up the act that long, without a single slip of the mask? I honestly believe she's just a very good natured happy person, I really don't believe it's possible for a person to keep that going 24/7 if they weren't really like that. Agree or Disagree and why?

Not at all, least fake possibly in my opinion. She doesn't play up to the cameras, she dosent follow the large group to avoid nomination, she dosent befriend people who get cheers. She's a real positive person, who gets FAR too much hate

i don't think she is being fake as such, she is just trying to be civil with people and get on with them without undue confrontation. I would consider someone as fake if they are playing up to the cameras, Sam just seems to want the path of least confrontation which I can totally identify with.

I don't think Sam is fake. She easily influenced and she's desperate to be liked by everyone, even if that means being a bit two faced. She's no different than a lot of people I have come across in rl.

I wouldn't choose Sam as a friend because I could never trust her but I bet she's heaps of fun to go on a night out with. She's so bubbly and happy; she's the sort of person who makes me smile and if I hadn't witnessed her two faced-ness I would call her a gem.

I don't think she's fake no, I think she's just a nice woman that doesn't like conflict and is a people pleaser. Nothing wrong with that, it just doesn't make a great housemate.

I'm sure I'd get on with her in real life though.

I don't think she's fake but she doesn't seem to have the courage of her convictions, is easily influenced and too keen to please others (as Nick commented when nominating her, comparing her in this regard with himself).

Her tendency to go from one HM to another in a seemingly contradictary manner probably doesn't do her any favours but I don't think it's some great strategy to play people off against one another.

I wish she'd been a little bit less of a pushover with Marc, who said some very borderline comments in the name of 'banter', especially when they were first in the house.

I agree with this. Personally I don't see anything wrong with her trying to get along with everyone either. Why does she need to choose a side anyway? It's one thing if it's your life long friends in there with you but all these people barely know eachother in reality

I don't understand how people can't see she is fake.No one goes around with a permanent grin and a permanent loving life chuckle at everything.

I'm not against people having fun,enjoying things but to have a permanent grin and permanent outlook like that is fake.

There are a lot of people who do this in real life,not just Sam,and they do it to avoid thinking about real life

so front up to things with their permanent "loving life" permanent smiles.That's fake,real people have ups and downs emotionally and real life has ups and downs that have to be dealt with and can't always be met with a permanent grin.

Also she has clearly shown she is fake with what she says cos has obviously lied several times about her reasons fro snapping back at Nikki.

It's obvious that was because she was embarrassed by her putting up with Marc's c um b uck e r,slut, perhaps s l a g

and saying he got hard on by seeing her cry.

That humiliated the f out of her and is the real reason why she lied about it several times and was r fake

expecting us to believe such easy to see through lies.

There are plenty of people who are nice in house who we don't call fake so with the majority who say she's fake cos how can anyone have a permanent grin permanent upbeat outlook these things for a start are obvious fake behaviours to cover up for real life.

Also she tells blatant lies and isn't bright enough to make them ones not easy to see through usually straight away.


There are many others in house who lot think are nicer but we don't call them fake which invalidates your point for many who call her fake anyway.

I think, as Nick said, she's a bit of a people-pleaser, but I don't think she's out-and-out fake. I think she's genuinely a decent person who just doesn't like intense conflict and doesn't want to make enemies, and she can make herself look a bit wishy washy and inconsistent.

I like her, though. Other than the Eileen nomination (I'm biased towards Eileen, admittedly), she hasn't pissed me off. And especially as most of the others continue to annoy me, she's become one of the more tolerable ones left in there.

Not fake just a people-pleaser. Had the house been more fun & positive I think she would have been a really good HM.
I just think she went in at the wrong time when the original HM's were bitter about four of "their own" going.
Had Sam been in there from day one I think we would have liked her more.

I couldn't stand Sam for a long time. I found her completely fake and found her permanent bubbliness and "wahey lovin life" so false and very irritating. I obviously like nice people (who doesn't?) but you know when some people are just really overly sugar sweet (eg. "love ya babes" to people she just met) it just doesn't come across as genuine and you feel a bit distrustful of them - that's how I felt about her.

I still find her a bit irritating but my opinion has changed from me originally thinking that perhaps there was a slightly nastier or manipulative/devious side underneath the veneer to me now thinking instead that she probably is a generally very nice person who just absolutely detests conflict.

I see her as very spineless and cowardly most of the time and a desperate people pleaser who just really wants to be liked and never get involved in rows - but tbh I could never really strongly dislike somebody just because of that.

I was a people pleaser for long enough myself and would tremble at even just the thought of conflict when I was in my teens but it took a lot of stuff happening to harden me up a bit.

I agree with the poster who feels it would be hard to have Sam as a close friend, because I would always doubt that she would tell me if I ever did something to annoy her, or give her true opinion or advice about a situation that I needed advice on if she felt it was something I wouldn't want to hear. My closest friend is very blunt and honest and it's what I love about her.

Sam just tends to nod and agree with whoever she happens to be sitting with and so I don't think I could ever find her my favourite or most entertaining housemate, but I also no longer see any badness/maliciousness behind her actions. Just a nice person really who wants to get along with and be liked by everybody. Not really my cup of tea as a housemate but definitely not a bad person either...
