well hes just lost his knighthood, totally exposing the vast complete and utter revolting hypocrisy of the monarchy and the likes of Prince William who is currently preaching against animal cruelty and trophy hunting when he has endlessly justified it and he and his family have done it themselves throughout their history and still do so...their palaces are stuffed full of trophy animals

He is very tabloid, he is pretty snide and sarky and can make people uncomfortable etc

But every now and again he hits it on the mark with his outspokenness and on some issues you do need someone in the media who actually has the guts to voice a real opinion, as opposed to a whole load of phonies working on tv who are more concerned with their long term employment



He does so here in spades. just as he did on gun laws in America before they kicked him out.

This is quality journalism imo exposing the mega rich mega corrupt powerful people who decide to pay a fortune to fly round the world trophy hunting animals to hang on their walls

Well a lot of people don't see an inherent conflict between conservation and hunting and indeed think they can compliment each other so its not really hypocrisy given that William himself has made that argument himself

it is 100% hypocrisy ....how on earth can you argue otherwise? the monarchy and William not only hunt and kill vast numbers of animals for sport and for trophies but also support on a vast scale hunting for sport and killing for trophies. then on the other hand theyre seen deriding and denouncing trophy hunting and the mass killing of animals for sport? you couldn't get a bigger mass of bloodthirsty hypocrites if you tried. on but its ok bcase the rich pay a lot to wipe out these animals to the point of extinction and that money will help ....please explain your argument mtvn

Prince William doesn't condemn hunting though? His argument was this:

There is a place for commercial hunting in Africa as there is round the world. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the arguments for regulated, properly controlled commercial hunting is that the money that goes from shooting a very old infirm animal goes back into the protection of the other species. So when one is infertile, he’s at the end of his life.

“If somebody out there wants to pay that money and it wouldn’t be me, but if somebody did then as long as that money goes back into protection of the species then it is a justifiable means of conserving species that are under serious threat.

“And that isn’t just me talking, there’s a lot of eminent conservationists out there who truly believe that there is a balance to be had here. And of course it is a fine balance and it does involve a lot of regulation.”

I can't believe it The Truth but I agree with you 100%.

The only times an Animal should even be considered to be killed imo is for Meat purposes, and as an effort to cure diseases (although this one makes me uncomfortable) it's at least a necessity unlike killing Animals for fun, clothes, or makeup.

I honestly find the Royal Family really cold, especially William & Kate.

Not only are they animal mass murderers, they cruelly torture and hunt a vast array of animals to the point of extinction...they actively support trophy hunters who pay to hunt , torture and slaughter these animals too...but to top it all off, they also head up massive national charities for the protection of animals, then come on tv pretending they care about these animals? I feel like a hypocrite myself tbh, hating hunting so much but eating meat myself, its not really that different when it comes down to it...slaughtering animals needlessly as we CAN survive without meat. But yeah, I agree with Piers.

Yesterday a photo popped up on my facebook of some woman with a dead giraffe looking really proud that she had killed it...its just horrendous. Yeah look at me, I am so brave I can kill a beautiful peaceful animal for a photo opportunity

Not too long ago we was Cavemen and Cavewomen who was more or less the same on the eat, sleep, crap, procreate system.

Every Animal has their purpose in the world (not all of them benefit us sadly) but even they are still important and we can't be killing them all off just for Sport.

And Animals do have feelings too, just because they can't express it in a lingual sense doesn't mean that they don't have emotions.

For example a Dog will like it's owner more if it's fed properly, and treated kindly, however if the owner abuses it by trapping it in one room, starving it to death, or dehydrating the Dog, then the Dog will turn nasty and get revenge on it's owner.

My basic point is that Animals are not just eat, sleep, and crap creatures like you were stating.

It's dramatically different as it's not very easy to survive without Meat, hence why Vegetarians need to take a **** load of Vitamins just to make up for the loss of fibre that eating Meat gives people.

Plus killing Animals is important for trying to cure diseases too.

It would be however hypocritical in my book for people to moan about killing Animals and then these same people are then wearing Tiger Fur Coats, or Rat Makeup.
