Default does the word \"Linux\" mean anything to you?

Im just wondering if anybody else knows what it is and if they "use" it.

Yes, I know what it is. But, that's because I'm a geek.

It's another OS. It's free, and a lot of ppl prefer it to windows. I haven't ever used it, but lately it's crossed my mind to give it a try.

I've heard a lot about it, don't use it.

Mainly because of compatibility issues of progs etc.

A lot of programmes and plug ins have compatibility issues with Linux/Don't have a linux version.
You can mostly get past this, but I can't be bothered to try and get past something

EDIT: I've heard good things about Ubuntu.

oh thanks for link stropz, I'll have a good read of that in a bit.

I don't currently use it because I current own a number of Mac's running OS X and a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 10. But somewhere in the cupboard there will be a Linux machine.
