not sure if it's really a comedy but the director (Jordan Peele) has only done comedies before (Little Fockers, Wanderlust). Also not sure it'll be any good since the cast isn't exactly WOW (Allison Williams, Posh Kenneth from Skins, Catherine Keener). But it'll probably get talked about a lot bc of its themes.

I finally watched this last night.

It's not a bad movie by any means, the acting and cinematography is superb and I can't fault Peele's direction at all. The concept behind it is original and contemporary to the racial tensions in America, especially in the era of Trump. But I don't know, I just found it kind of disappointing and underwhelming? I thought it was very slow and the ending could've been better imo. It doesn't really get interesting until the last half hour, but even by then I was questioning whether the first hour or so was worth enduring just to get to the climax. I was expecting a bit more but it's still such a well-made film.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's being dubbed as a comedy (or even a horror tbh). It's more of a psychological thriller.

The only comedy element to it was Chris' friend. Other than that, it was pretty unsettling most of the time.

Yeah agree with this, it wasn't scary or funny, a bit creepy maybe. It was decent enough
