This one could be quite good as long as they don't go rogue like they did in Black Mirror
![]() 'Hated in the Nation', the season three finale, features robotic bees, 'robobees', that were developed to combat the ever dwindling bee population. Of course the robots are manipulated for sinister purposes. Hackers programme them to kill people instead, leading to a string of seemingly unconnected and unsolved deaths. Scientists now believe robotic bees are close to being developed. They believe the mini robots will help to prevent the insects from dying out and pollinate flowers like natural bees do. A leading scientist in the field, Professor Shashi Shekhar, even believes the robots could help to combat global food shortages. Professor Shekhar is also confident of securing US government funding by 2020. “There are efforts going on to understand why bee colonies are collapsing. “This is a back-up plan. With climates dying in places like California and in the west you are losing lots of trees. If you lose the trees that’s the beginning. “The next things are probably insects or birds or animals, so it’s good to have some insurance.” ![]() He also had a word of caution, insisting that the bees would be susceptible to hackers, like in Black Mirror, and could be weaponised. "Hacking is a security issue so if the bees' controls are hacked they can be put to a damaging purpose. “All you need is a sting - and that sting can deliver a chemical." Black Mirror strikes again! https://www.buzz.ie/movies-tv/it-loo...e-again-277855

![]() The first 2 were amazing and it seems to be a bit of a prophecy rather than fiction, so might be best to be up to date with all of the changes that are coming ![]() |

Well, it's a risk we sort of need to bee taking beecause sadly it seems like real bees are in trouble, and... well... basically the whole world is screwed without pollination
![]() How weird would it bee to see little robot bees flying around your garden though ![]() |

They'll give me a pardon because my 5 year old loves "Bee Movie" and I think she is literally it's only fan.
