Well we know what that means, they have mashed something together that they know the EU will reject so buckle up we're crashing out of the EU...:/

sadly it's irelavant what May's cabinet finally agree on..We in the EU will not agree to it ..so whilstt it's cute that you goverment finaly came to an ageement .......not a chance that the other 27 countries will accept that.....when I say sadly I mean on the behalf of the other 27 countries

It's getting quite nasty now IMO ....that Irish people are told by some Brexiters to respect their demcocratic vote but ignore the Belfast agreement which was also a democratic vote

Important to note that they are making "no deal" preparations

here's hoping the soft brexit is passed.

Well that's all irrelevant now, they'll take back the devolved powers, whats more we'll now need a hard border as no free trade will necessitate one.

Kizzy the EU want this to be brought to a close ...Today was nothing more than the conserviteves trying to show unity amongst themseleves ....the fact that we here in Ireland can hear talking about complteley ignoring The Belfast agreement and "Call the Irish bluff " shows me democrcy only suit's them them when it agrees with them...

Just pointing out that Barnier was suggesting the EU was open to some sort of compromise. Previously he had been very hostile to any constructive negotiations. If any such proposal is not beneficial for us than a hard Brexit is substantially preferable to staying in the EU for me.

Well that's simply not true Brillo
The EU have always been open to compromise but from what they are talking about today is they want part of ECB and CU but are not willing to move on FOM...If you think a h hard Brexit is benificiall to you...then I think you are wrong...but I guess time will tell.....When are those that voted Brexit in your country agree with Teresa May and realise that Brexit means Brexit

On a side note Arlene foster and the rest of the DUP must be pulling their hair out knowing that they propped up the conservitaves and yet they have no say say in what is being decided for them......Oh well

i will keep saying this because it's true. In the general scheme of things it doesnt matter what we sign up to and agree on at this point because we can always change the terms at a later point in time. This is only possible because we are leaving the EU, and that will happen regardless of any arrangement next March

Success is all the more remarkable when it is achieved against all the odds whilst swimming against the tide and dodging traitors knives in the back. The girl done good, Kaz.

Too true Kirk, most of us would have thrown the towel in long before now, nothing will ever be right for everyone, but I do think she is doing a good job with the people she has who are obstructive.

Mays back was to the wall, she knew she had to sort things quickly, or she would be gone and Rees-Hogg would be moving into number 10

I know, this was nothing but a power grab from the get go. I'm glad you have the EU fighting your corner because the UK govt certainly won't.
