If anything it will lower the ratings. What's the point of tuning in to see who enters if we already know?

Plus then there's no highlights show on Saturday which will further decrease interest and affect the ratings for Sunday.

I couldn't care less about cast reveal days in Canada/the US because you can't get to know anyone until like two weeks in anyway, I find the whole thing pointless

So it'll be the same here, I do think it'd be an interesting thing for them to trial though

Its hardly a trial though is it they did it for BB16 and that flopped.

If they were making an event of it like BB11 did i would be all for it but it seems pointless.

Wasn't that just pictures and bios? You've misunderstood. By trial I mean a fully fledged cast reveal day like they have for BBUS/Can where the press/fan sites get to interview them on camera etc

I may be mistaken but I don't think that's ever happened here

Its the same thing we are living in the days of Insta.

As soon as their profiles are released everyone will be all over it and checking out their social media accounts.

I don't get why we need to know the housemates before they enter it goes against what the show is about....Mystery has always been the highlight of any classic launch show.

The thing with the American Big Brother though is that the first episode isn't totally dedicated to meeting the cast. Without those cast reveals it can take three or four episodes to learn somebody's name let alone get to know any of them as people. However given that we have a 90-minute long episode dedicated to getting to know the cast, any sort of cast reveal beforehand would remove it's purpose.

I don't think it's a bad idea, at least I doubt it'll make much of a difference to the viewing figures. But selfishly I'd be against it as I much prefer to find out as I'm watching.
