What an utter pig. He knew what he did was disgusting and he could've potentially got the house sick or even poisoned them if the effects were harmful enough. And the 'apology' was so phoned in. He only did it after finding out nominations were the next day and before that he was apologizing as a joke and taking the piss out of people 'I don't want to contaminate with my words.' Utter self-entitled garbage

He gave no thought to cross contamination...he's too thick to even think about it.

...to be fair to him though...I do think he didn’t see any cross contamination because beef can be eaten raw...and then he became like a child having a tantrum because a parent had said nooooooooooo...and couldn’t accept that no as he didn’t see any logic to it....

he is either completely stupid or he was putting it all on for effect, being drunk doesnt come into it. I believe it was all for effect.

That said, i wasnt that bothered by it, he will get put up for eviction, and will probably be gone by friday. I can't see the public saving him from being up. Particularly when they don't have to pay for the privilege (i think)

Minced beef should not be eaten raw because it mixes all of the bacteria on the outside of the beef into the inside through the mincing process. Bacteria will proliferate more quickly compared to a solid piece of meat. you shouldnt be touching salad after handling raw meat without washing your hands.

What he did was really unsanitary. URGH

Imagine being so sad to actually go out your way to emulate some carbon copy of Stephen ****ing Bear to try to win a TV show. A dying one at that.

At least with Bear, as gross as he is I do genuinely believe that is him. This just comes across sooooo calculated.

Is it bad that it amused me slightly?

Not the actual cross-contamination part, but his tantrum about Akeem and BB made me laugh. I loved it in the Diary Room when he said "I won't sit on the Diary Room chair in case I contaminate it."

It amused me slightly as well, Mystic Mock.

And I don't see him as a Bear copycat as I think there is more depth to him.

I don't think he was putting on his behaviour like Bear did either, but more like it's part of his basic character that was exaggerated under the influence of far too much alcohol. Lots of people don't think clearly when drunk and, like someone else said, I honestly think he couldn't quite get the idea that the food could be contaminated as he was cooking it anyway.

I do think he is immature and childish- maybe due to some of the reasons that Ammi and Goldheart mentioned- and, as I said, that this aspect of his character was brought out by too much alcohol.

To me it was just a drunken rant, and I thought it was quite comical to watch. Although I detested Bear, I find Lewis G much more interesting, and for some reason, he isn't (as yet) irritating me as much as he seems to be other forum members.

the main problem obviously was that he used his hands to handle the raw meat and then dipped his hands in a communal bowl of salad, thus contaminating the salad. How he prepares his own food is his own business but subjecting the other housemates to it is an absolute no no
