This is so unecessary and cruel, breaks my heart,some of the the Chinese people seem to just have a lack of empathy for animals, I ask myself WHY ? I have spoilered second and third image as its so sad.

I saw this yesterday and it’s just heartbreaking . I honestly think China has got to be one of the worst places for any animal to live. Such a huge disregard for life, I couldn’t imagine how those poor animals suffered for so long. Animal welfare in that country is so wrong they need to sort it out.

Glad the spoiler is gone, I don't think there's any need for that kind of imagery.
It was a logistics issue rather than any kind of planned slaughter. I hope the revulsion from other parts of the world a's well as the animal lovers within the country can put pressure on the govt to ban these practices on the back of this, and that the people involved are dealt with accordingly.

No it wasn't planned slaughter, but their animal trafficking in general is terrible,Pangolins are in so much danger there and their treatment of animals needs to be looked at seriously , we need to come down hard on ALL animal cruelty , it's painful to keep seeing and hearing about it, fine we can shut our eyes to it,but sometimes images need to be seen as some just don't get what is going on. there was no blood or gore in them.
